This statement applies to cookies and similar browser technologies associated with NIVOMAX web applications. It does not describe cookies used by www.nivomax.com, Synaxiom's corporate website, a Help Center, or another independently operated website.
1. Application and deployment scope
The browser experience depends on the NIVOMAX applications enabled for the installation, the selected identity provider and the Licensee's configuration.
Syntaxis, Arkitect, Aerotrade, Axis and Horizon use the shared NIVOMAX identity layer. The browser technologies involved in sign-in and application use should be assessed for the actual deployment.
This statement does not define the local data handling of native applications or replace the privacy information supplied for a particular customer service.
2. Functional and security purposes
Browser technologies may be used to maintain authenticated sessions, support security controls, preserve application state and remember user preferences.
The purpose of each technology should be assessed individually. A preference or optional feature should not be described as essential simply because it is convenient.
Blocking storage needed for authentication or session handling can prevent sign-in or interrupt application functions. The effect depends on the technology and application concerned.
3. Identity providers and integrations
The Licensee selects the identity provider and the integrations used with its installation. Those services may use their own cookies, tokens or browser storage.
Information supplied by the identity provider or integration provider should be considered alongside the NIVOMAX deployment information. A statement about NIVOMAX components does not establish the behavior of every third-party service.
4. Deployment-specific information
Cookie and browser-storage information for an installation should identify:
- the technology or storage item used;
- its provider and domain;
- its purpose;
- whether it is needed for a requested function or is optional;
- its duration or expiry behavior; and
- the available user controls.
The relevant information should reflect the actual installation and be updated when its configuration changes.
Session duration, preference persistence and sign-out behavior should be explained for the configured applications and identity provider.
5. Optional technologies and user choices
Where an installation introduces optional analytics, embedded services or other non-essential technologies, their purposes and applicable choices should be explained in the information supplied for that service.
Assess the required information and controls against the actual processing, deployment and applicable law.
6. Questions about an installation
Users should contact the Licensee operating their technical-publications service for the cookie and privacy information relevant to that service.
