Licensee Branding Guide

Guidelines for applying your brand across your NIVOMAX installation and presenting the identity of Licensees paired to native applications when their technical data is being viewed.

This guide explains how a NIVOMAX Licensee can apply its brand across its deployed installation, and how Licensee identity is presented in native applications when users are viewing technical data associated with a paired Licensee.

NIVOMAX is not a white-label product. It remains a Synaxiom software platform. Licensees may apply branding only in the areas described in this guide. If a branding use is not described here, it should be considered unauthorized unless approved by Synaxiom.

Core rule

You may brand your service offering and approved areas of the user experience, but you may not rename NIVOMAX, rename its applications, or present the software as a product developed by your organization.

Your service identity and the NIVOMAX software identity must remain clearly distinct at all times.

About section

The About section is the primary location for legal, copyright, ownership, and Licensee information.

Each Licensee paired to the application has its own section, which may include:

  • Licensee name
  • Licensee logo
  • Licensee copyright and legal information
  • Licensee end-user agreements, where applicable
  • Licensee contact information, where enabled

The About section also includes a separate NIVOMAX section containing NIVOMAX product information, copyright information, and the NIVOMAX EULA.

This separation keeps each Licensee's information distinct from NIVOMAX product and legal information.

Branding applied through Licensee pairing

Branding is applied through pairing, not through the installer.

When a native application is paired with a Licensee, that Licensee's logo may appear in the approved application location while its technical data is being viewed.

NIVOMAX installers do not carry Licensee logos. Licensee branding is applied after installation through the pairing process.

Application header branding

Horizon, Axis, and Arkitect may display the Licensee's logo in the designated top-left branding area.

This provides clear identification of the Licensee without changing the name or identity of the NIVOMAX application.

Web application browser identity

For the web versions of Horizon, Axis, and Arkitect, the Licensee may configure:

  • its service name for the browser tab
  • its favicon

This allows the web application to reflect the Licensee's service identity while the application itself remains a NIVOMAX application.

Publication branding for S1000D and ATA iSpec 2200 data

For S1000D and ATA iSpec 2200 data, a data owner logo may be configured for publication output at the CSDB project or Arkitect Central Data Repository level.

Approved uses include:

  • generated publication cover pages
  • headers in generated PDF documents and publications

This branding applies to the publication output and does not rename or rebrand NIVOMAX software.

Web application URLs

For Licensee-operated NIVOMAX web applications, the Licensee may use its own hostname or service URL. The URL does not need to include the NIVOMAX name.

What remains NIVOMAX

The following remain NIVOMAX branded and may not be renamed or presented as Licensee-developed software:

  • the NIVOMAX platform
  • the application names Horizon, Axis, Arkitect, Syntaxis, and Aerotrade
  • NIVOMAX Relay, the companion application for Horizon Desktop
  • the extension module names Chronos, LiveConnect, SkyTask, FleetPass, Vigilance Sentinel, Vigilance Watcher, Vigilance Compliance, and NIVOMAX Insights
  • the NIVOMAX EULA and copyright information
  • NIVOMAX help content, user guides, and other documentation supplied by Synaxiom
  • NIVOMAX and Synaxiom branding assets, except where this guide expressly permits Licensee branding

Where a NIVOMAX release is referenced, use its official release name and version designation.

Licensee service branding

Licensees may name and brand the service they provide using NIVOMAX.

The service brand must identify the Licensee's service, not the underlying software platform.

For example, you may create and promote your own ePublications service name. You may not rename NIVOMAX or any NIVOMAX application to match that service.

Communicating about NIVOMAX to your customers

When communicating with customers and end users, maintain a clear distinction between the service you provide and the NIVOMAX software that supports that service.

Documents, help content, and user guides

Unless expressly authorized otherwise, Synaxiom-supplied documents must remain intact.

They may not be:

  • modified
  • partially reused to create new branded documents
  • disassembled into separately branded material
  • republished in a way that obscures their NIVOMAX identity or Synaxiom ownership

Help content and user guides remain NIVOMAX branded unless Synaxiom approves an exception.

Brand assets

Use only current NIVOMAX and Synaxiom brand assets supplied by Synaxiom. Licensee logos and service branding must use the Licensee's approved brand assets and may appear only in the locations described in this guide.

NIVOMAX brand assets include:

  • NIVOMAX icon
  • NIVOMAX wordmark
  • Synaxiom logo
