Required application
Arkitect ™
Technical publication processing and publishing
Turn supported source technical data into validated, searchable, signed libraries for Horizon. Prepare content, references, applicability, graphics and publication output in one publishing process.
Datasheet available upon requestRequest a datasheet
For technical publications production teams, publishers, configuration controllers and illustrators at OEMs and publications suppliers.
Move from source data to a publication library.
Arkitect works downstream of authoring and CSDB systems. It prepares the content for delivery while retaining the source files.
Ingest
Bring supported source data into a Central Data Repository and prepare it for processing.
Validate and build
Check structure and references, resolve applicability, prepare graphics and build the publication and search index.
Publish
Produce a versioned, signed library for distribution through Axis and use in Horizon.
Prepare technical data for use in the field.
Structured and legacy sources
Process supported S1000D, ATA iSpec 2200, ATA-100, OEM XML and SGML, PDF, Word, static HTML and image sets. Custom schemas require an agreed processing approach.
Validation before release
Check schema, BREX rules and reference integrity as part of processing. Findings are visible to the publishing team before the content reaches readers.
Applicability and effectivity
Resolve aircraft and product configuration from the source data and carry the result into the published content used by Horizon.
Technical graphics and parts data
Prepare CGM and SVG graphics, hotspots, wiring behavior and illustrated parts data, including links between figure callouts and parts tables.
Search and publication output
Build full-text search indexes into the library. Produce linked PDF output and aggregate publication tables with Excel export where supported by the source content.
Versioned library packages
Publish signed libraries and compute delta updates against the previously served publication tree so that changed content can be delivered separately.
Add revision workflow when your process needs it.
Arkitect provides the processing and publishing engine. Chronos is a separately licensed extension module for publishing workflow and revision governance.
Use it when your publishing process needs additional coordination around changes, review and release. Its scope should be agreed as part of the installation.
Publish from Syntaxis™ or your existing source systems.
Syntaxis is optional. Arkitect accepts supported content from Syntaxis and other authoring or CSDB systems. It publishes the libraries Axis distributes and Horizon presents to readers.

Deploy on infrastructure you control.
The browser-based applications run within a single-tenant NIVOMAX installation on premises or in a customer-operated cloud tenancy. Deployment and restricted-network requirements are assessed for your operating environment.
Support that matches your organization.
Application support covers the Licensee’s designated support contacts. Direct support for other users in the Licensee’s organization and its customer organizations is available through optional End-User Support.
Installation, migration, data conversion and custom integration are available separately through Professional Services.
Frequently asked questions
Do we need to replace our authoring system?
Arkitect can work downstream of your existing authoring or CSDB system when it produces a supported exchange package. Syntaxis is available as an optional authoring application.
Can we publish a mix of content formats?
Arkitect can bring supported content models together in a searchable library. Custom or proprietary source structures need to be assessed before an import approach is agreed.
Does Arkitect produce PDF as well as Horizon libraries?
Arkitect supports linked PDF output alongside the publication library. The output and navigation depend on the structure and references available in the source data.
Are publishing workflow extensions included?
Chronos is licensed separately. Arkitect remains the required publishing application, with the additional workflow scope defined for the installation.
