What’s new in NIVOMAX Capstone™
Available October 5, 2026
NIVOMAX Capstone 2025.2 is a major upgrade across the applications you use to manage and deliver technical publications. Syntaxis introduces S1000D authoring, while publishing, publication access, security, performance and everyday workflows move forward across the platform.
For customers and users moving from an earlier NIVOMAX generation.
A platform upgrade, with changes throughout the workflow.
NIVOMAX Capstone brings new authoring capabilities and substantial improvements to the work that follows. The deployment model remains familiar. NIVOMAX runs as a single-tenant installation on infrastructure your organization controls, on premises or in a customer-operated cloud environment.
Author within NIVOMAX™
Syntaxis adds structured S1000D authoring and a governed CSDB. Teams can create and maintain source content before it moves into publishing.
Improve publishing and delivery
Improved CDR processing, revised library packaging, delta updates and resumable downloads help teams publish and deliver large technical-publication libraries.
Strengthen protection and control
Signed libraries, package verification, encrypted offline content and improved access controls carry protection through publishing, delivery and use.
Update the everyday experience
New Launchpad and Syntaxis interfaces join wider improvements to application workflows, search, navigation and technical-content linking.
What changes in the applications.
The familiar applications have new names and updated workflows. Syntaxis adds an authoring environment to the same platform.
Syntaxis ™
S1000D authoring and a governed CSDB.
Syntaxis brings source-content creation and management into NIVOMAX. Authors work in a structured S1000D editor with schema, BREX, reference and applicability checks. The CSDB controls versions, check-out, review and release.
Teams can maintain illustrations and hotspots alongside source content, exchange S1000D Data Dispatch Note packages and keep supplier baselines separately traceable from local changes.
Syntaxis is optional and licensed separately. You can continue using your existing authoring or CSDB systems and publish supported source content through Arkitect.
Explore SyntaxisArkitect ™
Deeper validation and improved publication output.
Arkitect improves CDR processing and the checks applied to incoming and updated content. Schema, BREX and reference validation help publishing teams find problems before a library is released.
Technical-graphics handling has improved, including CGM processing and SVG conversion. S1000D page-oriented PDF output is available alongside the interactive library, for individual data modules or a complete publication.
The publishing workflow gives teams more control over validation, conversion and release, with signed publication libraries prepared for Horizon.
Explore ArkitectAerotrade ™
Publication commerce with stronger connections.
Aerotrade improves publication sales, subscriptions and customer self-service, with updates to performance, security and commercial workflows.
Approved commercial entitlements pass to Axis for access administration. Custom APIs and extensions can connect existing CRM, ERP, billing and other commercial systems. Integration work is scoped separately.
Explore AerotradeAxis ™
More control and self-service for administrators.
Axis brings organizations, users, roles, data licenses, entitlements, devices and downloads into one administrative portal. Updated self-service workflows let users and customer organizations perform permitted actions while the Licensee retains control.
Customer branding and controlled entitlement workflows support the way publications are supplied and accessed. Optional FleetPass extends access management for shared fleet devices and requires Vigilance Sentinel.
Explore AxisHorizon ™
A modernized technical-publications experience.
Horizon has an updated interface, improved navigation and search, and stronger links between procedures, graphics, parts and related content. Improvements to graphics handling and content relationships make it easier to move through the information needed for a task.
Supported native deployments can hold publications from multiple NIVOMAX suppliers in one place while keeping each supplier’s content, entitlements and security context separate.
Choose the delivery for the operation. Horizon Desktop and supported mobile deliveries can hold libraries locally for offline use. A Network Data Server can serve a site over its LAN. Horizon Web provides connected access. Review delivery-specific capabilities rather than assuming every client behaves identically.
Explore HorizonSmaller transfers and more resilient delivery.
Revised packaging improves how publication libraries are prepared, stored and delivered. Delta updates transfer changed content, interrupted downloads can resume, and package verification helps confirm what arrives.
These changes matter when publication libraries are large, connections are interrupted or teams need to carry content locally. The benefit depends on the content and delivery in use.
Protection through publishing, delivery and use.
NIVOMAX Capstone strengthens publication protection and access control. Signed libraries and package verification support publishing integrity. Locally held publication content remains encrypted, and supported multi-supplier deployments keep supplier security contexts separate.
Optional extensions provide additional controls. Vigilance Sentinel extends authorization and access enforcement. Vigilance Watcher records tamper-evident access and activity evidence. Vigilance Compliance supports entitlement recertification. These are three separately licensed modules.
Explore extension modulesWork with the content and systems already in place.
NIVOMAX continues to work with supported S1000D, iSpec 2200, ATA-100 and customer-specific content. Custom schemas and extensions can support the navigation, linking, applicability and publication workflows your data requires.
Existing authoring, commercial and identity systems can remain part of the operating environment. Review the available interfaces and any custom integration or conversion work with Synaxiom. Professional Services are scoped separately.
Plan the upgrade around your installation.
Review the release against the applications, publications and operating conditions your organization uses. Synaxiom can help confirm the supported upgrade path and scope for your current installation.
Review the licensed configuration
Check your applications, Horizon deliveries and optional extensions. Arkitect and Axis are required with at least one Horizon delivery. Syntaxis and Aerotrade are optional and licensed separately.
Validate representative publications
Review source formats, project rules, custom schemas, graphics and integrations. Plan validation with content that represents your actual publication workflows.
Plan rollout and support
Review infrastructure responsibilities, identity integration, deployment and support coverage. Optional End-User Support can extend direct Synaxiom support to users in the Licensee’s own and customer organizations.
