Syntaxis ™
Author and manage S1000D source content in a governed CSDB with schema, business-rule and applicability controls.
NIVOMAX brings authoring, publishing, commercial licensing, access control and viewing into one integrated platform for aviation technical publications. Run it on infrastructure you control and add applications or extension modules as your requirements grow.
Five applications cover the technical publications lifecycle from authoring through use. Every installation requires Arkitect and Axis, plus at least one Horizon delivery. Add Syntaxis for authoring and Aerotrade for commercial management.

PUBLISH REQUIRED
Process, validate and publish technical data into signed, versioned libraries for Horizon.
SELL
Manage publication products, subscriptions and commercial entitlements, then pass approved entitlement into Axis for access control.
CONTROL REQUIRED
Manage organizations, users, roles, data licenses, entitlements, devices and downloads from the platform administrative portal.
VIEW ONE DELIVERY REQUIRED
Use interactive technical publications online or offline across web, desktop, network and supported mobile deliveries.
NIVOMAX applications share the same publication, organization and entitlement model. Arkitect publishes the libraries Axis distributes. Horizon applies Axis access decisions when users activate and open content. When Aerotrade is licensed, approved commercial entitlement flows into Axis. Syntaxis can hand governed source content directly into the publishing process.
The result is a connected technical publications environment without forcing every customer to license every application.
NIVOMAX supports structured and legacy technical publication sources so programs can modernize without treating every existing publication as a conversion project.
Support for S1000D Issues 4.0.1, 4.1, 4.2 and 5.0.
Support for ATA iSpec 2200 and ATA-100 content.
Process supported XML, SGML, PDF, Word, static HTML, image sets, CGM and SVG content as part of the publishing workflow.
Customer-specific and proprietary formats can be supported through a custom extension that transforms the source into a publication structure NIVOMAX can process and deliver.
Each NIVOMAX Capstone installation runs for one Licensee on infrastructure that organization controls. Deploy on premises, in a customer-operated cloud tenancy, or in a restricted environment where connectivity is tightly controlled.
Applications, publication content and identity data remain inside the Licensee's infrastructure.
Support connected operations as well as restricted and air-gapped environments, with offline publication access where the selected Horizon delivery supports it.
Integrate with the customer identity provider through the NIVOMAX identity layer using SAML 2.0, OAuth 2.0 or OpenID Connect. Supported capabilities vary by protocol and identity provider.
Extension modules add workflow, authorization, audit, fleet, collaboration and reporting capabilities without changing the core platform architecture.
Publishing workflow and revision governance.
Structured publication feedback between Horizon users and the teams that maintain the content.
Task cards built from references to approved technical data.
Managed publication access for fleet devices. Requires Vigilance Sentinel.
Advanced authorization and access enforcement across users, devices and publications.
Tamper-evident evidence of technical-content access and related activity.
Entitlement recertification and reviewer decisions for access governance.
Operational reporting across publication, license and application activity.
NIVOMAX Relay is an optional Windows companion to Horizon Desktop. It receives a fault code from a maintenance system and hands the request to Horizon, which resolves the configured library and applies the user's entitlement before opening the matching content.
Relay does not hold publication content, authenticate users or make entitlement decisions.
NIVOMAX Capstone 2025.2 and its 5.x applications are classified as mass-market software under ECCN 5D992.c.
