Deployment

Run NIVOMAX on infrastructure you control.

NIVOMAX is a single-tenant installation for one Licensee. Run the platform on premises, in a customer-operated cloud tenancy, or in a restricted environment planned for your connectivity requirements.

Deployment models

Choose the environment that fits your operation.

The deployment model defines where the server applications run. Choose Horizon deliveries for the way readers access publications and the connections available to them.

On premises

Operate NIVOMAX within your organization’s infrastructure, with the database, storage, identity and network services your installation requires.

Customer-operated cloud

Deploy in a cloud tenancy your organization provisions and controls. Infrastructure sizing, availability and recovery arrangements are agreed for the installation.

Restricted or air-gapped

Plan installation, entitlement renewal and content updates around the site’s permitted connections. Offline delivery and exchange procedures need to be defined for the environment.

Responsibilities

Make the responsibilities explicit before rollout.

Licensee infrastructure

Operating systems, database service, storage, backup, monitoring, networks and the production and non-production environments.

Identity and access setup

Your identity provider, trusted certificates, organization setup, nominated administrators and the access paths from client devices.

NIVOMAX software

The licensed applications and deliveries, software updates and application support for designated Licensee contacts.

Optional services

Implementation, data migration, integrations, training and infrastructure services can be agreed separately with Synaxiom.

Publication delivery

Match publication delivery to connectivity.

Horizon Web

Browser access to the installation. Plan the network connection and identity path readers need.

Horizon Desktop, iOS and Android

Locally held encrypted libraries for offline reading. Plan library delivery, revised content and entitlement renewal.

Horizon Network Data Server

A locally held library served to readers over the site LAN. Plan the local server, network access and update process.

Identity and access

Connect identity without assuming every protocol behaves the same.

Applications authenticate through the shared NIVOMAX identity layer. Supported identity capabilities vary by protocol and provider. Review the required sign-in, provisioning and account-lifecycle behavior during planning.

Axis remains the system of record for organizations, users, roles, data licenses and entitlements. SCIM 2.0 provisioning is available through an optional extension capability.

Rollout planning

Prepare the installation with your operating teams.

01

Define

Confirm applications, content, user population, deliveries, connectivity and identity requirements.

02

Prepare

Provide the required infrastructure, administrators, certificates and network access. Agree any implementation or migration services.

03

Verify

Check content delivery, access, updates, backup and recovery against the agreed installation before operational use.

Practical questions

Frequently asked questions

Is NIVOMAX a shared vendor-hosted service?

NIVOMAX is deployed as a single-tenant installation on infrastructure controlled by the Licensee, including a customer-operated cloud tenancy.

Does choosing a cloud deployment remove infrastructure responsibilities?

Your organization remains responsible for its tenancy and infrastructure operations unless a separate services arrangement assigns them. The software license and infrastructure services have different scopes.

Does every Horizon delivery work offline?

Horizon Desktop, iOS and Android hold libraries locally. The Network Data Server serves a local library over the site LAN. Horizon Web uses the installation’s browser interface. Choose the delivery for the operating environment.

Can NIVOMAX operate in an air-gapped environment?

The platform supports restricted and air-gapped installations. Plan the permitted transfer methods, entitlement exchange and update procedures with Synaxiom for the specific environment.

Are implementation and migration included with the software license?

Implementation, migration, training, integration and infrastructure services are separate Professional Services. Identify the services you need in your estimate inquiry.

What is the U.S. export classification?

NIVOMAX Capstone 2025.2 and its 5.x applications are classified as mass-market software under ECCN 5D992.c. U.S. exporters can contact us for our CCATS number.
