NIVOMAX Relay™
Pass a maintenance fault code to the matching troubleshooting content in Horizon Desktop. Relay is a lightweight Windows companion that receives the request, validates it and hands it to Horizon.
For maintenance technicians working beside the aircraft and the IT teams that configure their Windows workstations.

From a fault code to the relevant publication.
Receive
Accept a fault-code request through an enabled browser-link, local-application or aircraft-network interface.
Validate and hand over
Check the configured request and pass the fault code to Horizon Desktop for the target library.
Open in Horizon™
Horizon handles sign-in, entitlement and the requested content. If the request cannot be opened, the applications explain the failure.
Three input paths, configured for your workflow.
Browser link
Accept the fault-code link emitted by the maintenance system using the configured port and parameter name.
Local application
Receive a request from an application on the same Windows computer.
Aircraft network
Receive a request from an approved system on the aircraft network. This interface stays off unless an administrator enables it.
Keep the handoff predictable on the workstation.
Configured target
Set the incoming parameter and target Horizon library during installation. The fault code is preserved during the handoff.
Clear failure handling
Show when Horizon Desktop is missing or cannot accept the request, rather than leaving the technician without an explanation.
Duplicate suppression
Suppress repeated requests within the configured window so a retrying caller does not open the same content twice.
Managed installation
Use the signed installer and unattended installation options to deploy the agreed configuration across maintenance workstations.
Local operation
Relay makes no outbound network connection and sends no telemetry. It does not maintain a fault history or a publication library.
Workstation controls
Provide tray status, a link test and restart controls for the application running with the signed-in Windows user.
Horizon™ owns publication access.
Relay performs no user authentication and makes no entitlement decisions. Horizon Desktop handles sign-in when needed and checks access when it opens the requested content.
Relay is optional and licensed separately. Horizon Desktop is required in the same NIVOMAX installation. It is a companion application, separate from the five primary applications and the extension modules.
Agree the interface and library before installation.
The customer administrator defines the incoming fault-code interface and target Horizon library. Workstations need Horizon Desktop installed, and any aircraft-network access must be approved and configured by the customer.
Frequently asked questions
Does Relay authenticate the technician?
Relay performs no user authentication. Horizon Desktop handles sign-in and entitlement when the requested publication content is opened.
Does Relay contain the troubleshooting publications?
The publications are held and presented by Horizon Desktop. Relay validates and hands over the fault-code request.
Can we use Relay without Horizon Desktop?
Relay requires Horizon Desktop in the same installation. Its handoff opens Horizon Desktop.
Is the aircraft-network interface always enabled?
It stays off unless an administrator enables it. The calling systems and network access must be approved and configured by the customer.
Does Relay send the fault code to a Synaxiom server?
Relay operates locally, makes no outbound network connection and sends no telemetry. Horizon’s content access and update arrangements are defined separately for the installation.
Review your fault-code handoff.
Tell Synaxiom about the calling maintenance system, Windows workstations and Horizon library. We will help define the Relay configuration and integration scope.
