Task-card assembly

SkyTask

Build task cards with references to approved publications.

Assemble a task card from published technical content, operator documents and author text in a defined order. SkyTask pins references to their source issue and keeps each card within one library scope.

For planning and engineering teams at OEMs, publications suppliers and operators, and technicians reading the resulting cards.

Task-card assembly
  1. One published library
  2. Pinned references
  3. Task card in Horizon
Conceptual workflow illustration.

Keep the source issue visible in the card.

A card can combine S1000D data modules, figures, ATA-100 documents, operator-added documents and the author’s own text. The references remain tied to the issue used when the card was assembled.

Referenced publication content stays in its library. Access follows that library’s entitlement, and source changes are flagged for a person to review before the reference is moved to another issue.

Capabilities

What SkyTask adds.

Ordered assembly

Arrange the approved references and author text in the order the card requires. Include applicability, zone and panel references, estimated duration and stated prerequisites.

Pinned source references

Keep each reference tied to its source issue. For unversioned documents, retain the file identity, digest and date seen to establish which file the card used.

Changes for human review

Show whether the source changed, the card was edited or both conditions apply. A person reviews a source revision and decides whether to update the pinned reference.

Related approved content

Use cross-references resolved at publication time to suggest related content. The author decides which references belong in the card.

Card origin and history

Let an operator adapt an OEM card while preserving its origin and source version. Keep authorship and history so a previously issued version can be reconstructed.

Working sequence

Assemble, review and present the card.

  1. Assemble in Horizon Web

Select content from one library and place the references and author text in the required order.

  2. Review the sources

Check the pinned issues and resolve any source-change indicators before issuing the card.

  3. Read through Horizon

Present the card using a licensed Horizon delivery, with access to the library content it references.

Before configuration

Agree who can assemble and adapt cards.

  • Provide the published libraries the cards will reference.
  • Nominate card administrators per organization and assign their roles in Axis.
  • Decide which operator organizations can assemble cards and which documents they may add.
Optional, separately licensed extension module

Plan task-card assembly and presentation.

SkyTask is licensed separately and requires Horizon Web. Cards are read through the Horizon deliveries licensed for the installation. A device holding the complete library can read its cards offline, including the operator documents within that library scope.

SkyTask covers assembly and presentation. Task execution, electronic sign-off, inspection control, labor tracking, work packages, production scheduling and materials or tooling management are outside its scope.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Does a card automatically follow the latest source revision?

References remain pinned to their selected issues. Source changes are flagged for human review, and a person decides whether to update a reference.

Can one card combine different libraries?

Each card stays within one library scope. Operator-added documents used by the card also belong to that scope.

Can SkyTask record maintenance completion?

SkyTask covers task-card assembly and presentation. Execution and electronic sign-off belong to the operational systems and processes that manage maintenance work.
